Epiphany SundayToday is the first Sunday in the Epiphany Season in the life of the church. Epiphany is from the Greek word which means “appearance” of “manifestation”. It’s a season after Christmas in which Christians commemorate the appearance of God in human form of His Son Jesus Christ. The light from the star which guided the Magi (Wise Men) to Christ, the promised Messiah, is traditionally associated with Epiphany. Let us this morning, arise and worship because our light is come!As we gatherPrelude… Preparation for WorshipOpening Acts of WorshipPraise & Worship...………..……Hymn No. 245 & on screenScripture Reading…..…Ephesians 5:8-17..........Shad MehlOffering & DoxologyMessage……....……………….…”Always, We Begin Again”Holy CommunionAltar Prayer TimeBenediction Song…………….”Blest Be The Tie That Binds”

Prayer Joys and Concerns Please pray for Glen Compton, Judy Jordan, Youth who attended Chrysalis, Doug Patten, Willa Cott, and those who are sick as well as those who are traveling. Pray for persons in the nursing home and hospital, and unspoken requests. Pray also for our church, community, nation and leaders.
Remember that God loves you and offers you new life through Christ! God’s grace is a free gift received simply through faith. Accept for yourself God’s forgiveness, cleansing, and life-transforming power! Here is a simple prayer for those who have decided to receive Jesus: Lord Jesus I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I now repent from my sins, and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life and make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen |
